Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) has set his season counter to 13. Philipsen beat Olav Kooij and Dylan Groenewegen in the Gooikse Pijl this afternoon. Our northern neighbors achieved a victory in Italy, but there was Italian success in France.
Gooikse Pijl: fruitful days for Jasper Philipsen
After his sweet summer, Jasper Philipsen is not thinking about going wild just yet. The sprint king of Alpecin-Deceuninck has set his sights on the title of victorious king.
That crown is currently on the marble of buddy Tadej Pogacar (16), but Philipsen is getting closer.
On Friday he already won the Championship of Flanders in Koolskamp, and today he performed a bis number in the Gooikse Pijl (1.1). That is his 13th win of the season.
And again Philipsen left the Dutch empty-handed. Olav Kooij and Dylan Groenewegen had to bow their heads.
Gerben Thijssen came 4th, Fabio Jakobsen 6th.

GP Isbergues: just not ahead of Mads Pedersen
In the GP Isbergues (1.1) the difference was not visible to the naked eye. Matteo Moschetti (Q36.5) beat his former teammate Mads Pedersen with a tire thickness.
Arnaud Démare was 3rd in the French sprint, Arne Marit 6th.

Trofeo Matteoti: Sjoerd Bax does it again in Italy
UAE has achieved a new victory in the crowded Italian autumn block. The winner was a small surprise: Sjoerd Bax won his first race for his wealthy employer.
Last year, Bax appeared on UAE’s radar with a prestigious victory in the Coppa Agostini.
This year too, he is getting his share of the Italian soil. In the Trofeo Matteoti (1.1) he beat Simone Velasco and Lorenzo Rota.
