The road is closed in a southerly direction at Olavsgård in Skjetten after a head-on accident on the E6.
The police state that at least one person has died. Further extent of damage and how many are involved is not known.
– At least one person has died in connection with the accident on E6. The road will be closed for a good while during the night, the police in the East inform.
The duty manager at the 110 exchange in the East, Roger Andersen, says that there has been a major collision.
– It has been a serious meeting accident. It will be cleared a little, but northbound is also closed. The northbound direction will probably be opened soon, Roger Andersen states.
The road traffic control center in the East also reports the accident on its Twitter account.
– Traffic is at a standstill on the site, after a serious traffic accident. Detours will be signposted via national road 22 Kjellerholen, they write.
