Just before 1 a.m., the police were called to a collision in the center of Aartselaar. In Kapellestraat, a driver had hit a bicycle rack with his car. “The driver continued to accelerate,” said Reiner Smets of the police. “So the tires kept spinning, creating a large plume of smoke.” Police, fire brigade and the MUG team were immediately on the spot.
