If there is one positive trend that deserves to be welcomed from Square Enix for at least the last few years, of course it comes from the extra attention they have begun to direct to forgotten old franchises. Valkyrie Profile gets a new spin-off series, Tactics Ogre goes through an excellent remaster process, to games like The World Ends with You which also get a new series. In the midst of an abundant library of interesting names for this classic market, there is also the classic mecha strategy game – FRONT MISSION.
It doesn’t really come with a new series, but plans for remakes for at least the first three series. After briefly releasing the first remake series, now FRONT MISSION 2 Remake is officially introduced with a definite release date that will launch in the middle of 2023. This remake process of course comes with various modernization processes, both in terms of visuals, music, to the opportunity to enjoy the Wanzers – the mechas in better detail. The story is the same as the global political content you can still anticipate from it.
