FromSoftware announced an 11.8% increase in employee salaries

The Japanese studio FromSoftware announced that from April 2025, the basic salary of employees will rise by an average of 11.8%. The company also plans to raise the starting salary for new graduates from ¥260,000 ($1,775) to ¥300,000 ($2,050).

We are committed to creating sustainable income and a stimulating work environment where our employees can reach their full development potential. Salary increases and starting salaries are one example of this policy.

This isn’t the first time the studio has raised salaries for entry-level roles. In 2022, FromSoftware offered a starting salary of ¥220,000 ($1,500) per month.

It is good to see that at least somewhere in the gaming industry the situation is improving, and that there is not yet another wave of layoffs.
