: “I managed to keep the same level of tennis but now I feel a little stronger because I have more games on my shoulders, I have more confidence. Of course it would be nice to play a game without having any decline, but if you can play well even only in the important moments, if you are able to raise the tension when necessary and bring out the right plays, then that’s okay. Today I had only one moment of decline, when I served at 5-2 in the second set, but otherwise I’m happy with the level expressed, my intensity and my mentality. I noticed that field no. 2 is different from No. 3 on which I had played before, the ball bounces less, so I tried to exploit it with the slice and with the short ball. I have invested a lot in these shots in my career and I am happy I did because they are definitely an important weapon for me. I have won almost every match in three sets so far and this leaves me with a lot of energy for the rest of the tournament. “
“I go out on the pitch always aware that I can lose, and that’s what gives me the adrenaline. It doesn’t matter if I play with a lower ranked opponent as it happened in the early rounds or against someone like Félix or Sascha against whom the game is more balanced. It doesn’t matter that the match is more difficult now, I want to win so there will be a bit of a sleepless night, but the matches I have won so far help me to arrive with great awareness, energy and confidence. It will be a battle but I will certainly be ready ”.
