Almudena Grandes died today after a devastating cancer that she announced just a month ago, leaving a written work that attests to a pen as prolific as it is effective that dazzled millions of readers and was taken to the movies on several occasions. Between essays, scripts and thousands of articles, he signed 13 novels from his debut feature, the very scandalous in its time ‘The ages of Lulu’, to ‘Frankenstein’s mother’, published last 2020 and belonging to his ambitious cycle ‘Episodes of an endless war with which he sought to novelize the years after the bloody Spanish Civil War.
