From Wednesday 1 September, some rules on the Green Pass change, the certificate attesting to having received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine for at least 15 days, to have tested negative in a test in the previous 48 hours or to have been cured of COVID-19 for less than six months. It will be mandatory to show it on long-distance transport and will be required of school staff and university students.
From Friday 6 August the certificate it is already mandatory to access a series of places – the internal halls of restaurants, concerts and gyms – where there is the risk of gatherings and therefore an easier transmission of the coronavirus.
Transportation
From Wednesday 1 September the Green Pass will be compulsory on long-distance transport: that is, on airplanes, high-speed trains, Intercity and Intercity night trains, buses and ferries that connect multiple regions. The ferries between Messina and Reggio Calabria, considered local public transport, will be an exception. It will not be required on urban public transport: buses, trams, metro, city funiculars. People boarding regional trains are also exempt. In large stations there are turnstile controls that allow access to the tracks, while in all other situations it will be the controller to verify possession of the certificate.
School
The Green Pass will be mandatory for school and university staff: teachers, professors, janitors, technical and administrative staff, secretaries, school managers. In universities it will also be mandatory for students to attend lectures face to face. For school and university staff, in the absence of a Green Pass, the employment relationship and salary will be suspended after five days of unjustified absence.
Children over 6 years of age must continue to wear masks to school, except for sports activities and for people with pathologies or disabilities incompatible with the use of masks. Only fragile individuals will be entitled to free tampons paid by the Ministry of Education.
The Green Pass can be exhibited both in digital and paper format, and is substantially composed of a QR code. It can be obtained by logging into the site www.dgc.gov.it via Spid or health card or a code sent by email from the Ministry of Health. Or you can download it via the Immuni or IO apps, or by accessing your electronic health record.
From Friday 6 August the Green Pass was already mandatory to access the indoor restaurants, the cinema, the theater and all indoor shows, in the gym, wellness centers, theme parks, social and cultural centers (with the exception of educational for children), betting rooms, bingo halls and casinos, museums, festivals, stadiums, congresses, major events and public competitions.
