The Houston Astros are heading into the 117th World Series as the big favorites over the Atlanta Braves.

The Fall Classic begins today with the Astros and Braves meeting in Houston.

Houston is a favorite at -145, while the Braves are +120, according to BetMGM.

The Astros are heading to the World Series for the third time in five years after defeating the Boston Red Sox in six games in the American League Championship Series.

Before that, Houston beat the Chicago White Sox in the American League Division Series after winning 95 games in the regular season.

Atlanta returns to the World Series for the first time since 1999.
