As of Thursday, among others, fully vaccinated Germans, Croats and Belgians will be allowed into Norway without quarantine. The Swedes have to wait a little longer.

On Thursday 24 June, Norway will join the EU’s certificate solution, which means that the certificate can be used for travelers to Norway. It wrote the government in a press release Friday.
This means that even more people are allowed into Norway, without having to be quarantined.
As of Thursday, travelers from EEA and Schengen countries will be allowed in if they can document with a verifiable EU certificate that:
- They are fully vaccinated
- Or that they have undergone covid-19 in the last six months.
But not all countries have the technical solution completely ready for their inhabitants.
According to the government, the solution is ready for the following countries:
Austria, Bulgaria, Belgium, Cyprus, Germany, Estonia, Finland, France, Croatia, Iceland, Poland and Latvia.
“However, we do not know whether these countries have actually used the corona certificate and issued it to their citizens,” the government writes.
However, the European Commission has one updated overview over which countries have the technical solution ready, and which have the verification solution in place and thus are “connected” to the EU’s coronapass solution.
Check which countries, according to the EU Commission, have verifiable solutions in place on the map at the top of the case, or in the table below:
– Thanks to a fast, efficient and good European cooperation, we already have a corona certificate solution on Thursday that will be able to make travel significantly easier for people who have been fully vaccinated or have undergone corona disease. It will mean a lot for both individuals and for important jobs in the tourism industry in Norway, says Minister of Health and Care Services Bent Høie in a press release Wednesday.
On July 1, the EU’s corona certificates will enter into force, the government writes.
– Most EU / EEA countries will then be connected to the EU solution and will be able to verify Norway’s corona certificate at its borders. This will apply to Spain, Italy, Greece and Croatia, among other places, the press release states.
Solution for non-digital users
– We now have a solution for the corona certificate for those who cannot use a PC, mobile phone or tablet. From tomorrow, they can call the corona information phone and receive the corona certificate in the mail. We still want as many people as possible to use the digital solution on helsenorge.no, and possibly take a printout of the certificate at home, says Høie in the press release.
When calling the information telephone / Helfo, you must enter your social security number, and the corona certificate will be sent to a registered address.
– It is not possible to send the corona certificate to addresses other than the one you are registered in Norway, the government emphasizes.
