From then on, the handheld console running Android system, the Razer Edge, will be available

Last year, the Android operating system handheld console developed primarily, but not exclusively, for cloud gaming, the Razer edge, which is optionally equipped with a 5G modem. The gadget has yet to receive an official release date, but we now know when it will be available for purchase.

The Razer Edge will be released in the US on January 26th. The console can be ordered from the manufacturer’s website and its partner stores, while the variant equipped with a 5G modem will be available exclusively thanks to the American service provider, Verizon. The device was originally announced at the Mobile World Congress event, and was later showcased in more detail at the RazerCon event. The release date was announced during the current CES Expo, so the release is only a few weeks away.

The Razer Edge is the result of a co-production between Razer, Qualcomm and Verizon. No matter which variant the future owner gets, he will surely have a 6.8-inch, 144Hz, 2400 x 1080 resolution OLED display, behind which serves a Snapdragon G3X Gen 1 chipset. The processor is accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of expandable storage being built, and active cooling tries to keep the heat generated during operation at bay.

Other notable features of the handheld console include a 5-megapixel front camera, Bluetooth 5.2 support, Wi-Fi 6E compatibility, and a headphone output on the controller. The 5G model is therefore completely out of the question for us, but the Wi-Fi version can be ordered from Razer’s website. This version costs $400, or about HUF 150,000.
