Second appointment with “From the street to the stage”, the television show hosted by Nek which brings the colorful world of street artists to TV, broadcast on Tuesday 27 February at 9.20pm on Rai 2. Gabriele Cirilli and Francesca Fialdini will be the “important passers-by” of the episode and will support the studio audience in choosing the three best performances of the evening. The selected artists will go directly to the final together with the best of the first and will compete to win the prize of best street artist in Italy.
The buskers – accompanied on stage by Maestro Luca Chiaravalli’s band – will share with the audience their skills related to every art form, from music to singing, from dance to juggling, and will enchant viewers with extraordinary performances within one studio that recreates the joyful atmospheres of the most beautiful squares. Each of them, in addition to their talent, brings with them a personal story, sometimes touching, other times eccentric or funny.
Last week’s finalists were Argentine singer Paula Torres, aerial dancing duo “Rainmakers” and shadow puppet artist Matteo Fraziano.
Produced by Rai – Prime Time Entertainment Directorate in collaboration with Stand by me, directed by Maurizio Pagnussat, the program represents a precious showcase for singers, musicians and street artists, offering them the opportunity to perform and tell their story in the largest square of Italy, the television one.
