During a guided tour in the House of City History, visitors learn how the farmers lived in the first villages on the Buchhügel.

In the Haus der Stadtgeschichte you can see many finds from regional prehistory and early history: from the Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age, as well as from the Roman and Franconian times. On Sunday, January 16, there will be a guided tour at 11 a.m. in which Monika Krämer will first take you back to the Neolithic Age, when farmers established their first villages in the Main bend and on the Buchhügel. Middle Bronze Age burial mounds were found in the city forest. There are Roman grave goods from Bürgel and Franconian grave goods from Bieber. The photo shows Celtic dogs.
