Thursday, November 2 at the René Piquemal sports complex, the Haute-Garonne departmental basketball committee is organizing its job dating “From the Stadium to Employment” in partnership with USC basketball and the Colomiers employment center agency.
This new event will welcome twenty companies, with recruitment needs in a wide variety of professions, and more than 80 candidates without any required sporting level, previously supported by local Pôle Emploi agencies. Last year, 33% of job seekers found a job within the month following their participation.
“This will be an opportunity for companies to recruit differently through the collective practice of basketball. They will be able to identify the skills and know-how of candidates, exchange with them and consider future professional collaboration” explain the organizers.
The day will take place around three highlights. A morning dedicated to sports practice under the direction of the Columérin club supervisors, then a lunch between candidates and recruiters, all under cover of anonymity.
Finally, the afternoon will be dedicated to job dating, building on the close relationship established since the start of the day. With its original approach, the event will highlight the role of sport as a talent scout, a vector of recruitment and professional integration in a new interpersonal approach between recruiters and recruits.
