The Linz police report again of a pickpocket and warn the population. Furthermore, the officers had to deal with narcotics and a rioter.
Pickpocketing
Unkel. On Wednesday morning, a 67-year-old woman had her wallet stolen and cash withdrawn in a discount store in Unkel. The wallet was later found on a shelf by an employee. In the past few weeks, the Linz Police Inspectorate has received an increasing number of pickpockets in supermarkets in the Unkel and Rheinbreitbach region. The police want to make citizens aware not to leave bags with purses or other valuables unattended in the sales rooms or in the shopping cart while shopping. If suspicious people are found, contact the police.
Narcotics thrown away
Bad Hönningen. On Tuesday evening, around 6:30 p.m., police officers from the police station in Linz recognized during their patrol that a young man on Bischof-Stradmann-Strasse in Bad Hönningen was throwing something away when he saw the patrol car. After the man was stopped, the officers looked to see that it was a narcotic drug. Other narcotics and a joint were also found on him. Criminal proceedings were initiated against the 20-year-old man from Bad Hönningen and the narcotics were seized.
Rioting person and trespassing
Bruchhausen. On Tuesday evening, around 7 p.m., the Linz police were called to a farm in Bruchhausen. Here a man was noticed on the site who was neither part of the family nor one of the authorized persons in the stables. When he was spoken to, he tried to flee, but was held on site by those present until the police arrived. Even when the police arrived, the man tried to leave the courtyard and was unreasonable and very aggressive when he was spoken to. The man was immobilized by the police on site and then taken to a specialist clinic. It was a 53-year-old man from Neuwied.
