The slashing of junior high school students occurred in Sukabumi, West Java. The victim with the initials ARSS (14) died after suffering a stab wound due to the actions of three perpetrators who were his peers.

Quoted from detikjabar, the stabbing occurred on Wednesday (22/3/2023) in Sindangpalay, Cibeureum, Sukabumi City. The police explained how the incident started. The incident begins with accusations and invitations to duel one on one.
“The victim initially sent a message on the third ABH’s Instagram social media, in which this victim accused DA of being the person who had crossed out at his school. To these accusations, DA and two of his colleagues did not accept, they then made an appointment to meet at a place, namely at TKP to do a one-on-one duel,” said Sukabumi City Police Chief AKBP SY Zainal Abidin, Friday (24/3/2023).
Perpetrator Arrested by Police
The three perpetrators had the initials DA (14), RA alias N (14) and AAB alias U (14). The Sukabumi City Police Chief AKBP SY Zainal Abidin said the perpetrators were arrested and have been designated as Children Against the Law (ABH) or suspect status for children under age.
The three ABHs were threatened with multiple articles with a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. Currently, they are detained at the Sukabumi City Police for further investigation.
“In a short time, we arrested three children. We hope that this incident will be the last incident, where a child will face the law because of his actions,” said AKBP SY Zainal Abidin, Friday (24/3) yesterday.
The Role of Actors
It is known, after the invitation to duel, the victim and the perpetrators arrived at the scene. The three perpetrators came on a motorcycle. Each actor has a different role. First, DA played the role of the stabbing victim, then RA did the live broadcast via Instagram, while AAB played the role of a motorbike rider or jockey.
Hacking Broadcast on Instagram
The stabbing action by the perpetrator on the victim was recorded in a video clip of the Instagram live broadcast that was spread. The seconds of the victim being hacked are shown in the video.
The IG live broadcast was broadcast by an account with the name @spandas743**. In the 55-second video, one man can be seen brandishing a sharp weapon and chasing other men. The uploader also embedded the quote ‘1 vs 1’ in the live broadcast.
“This incident is quite sad for us too, that there are several children whose current position as children in legal conflict (ABH) deliberately videotape the process of the incident through one of their social media accounts which can be watched live by the wider community,” said the Head of the Sukabumi City Police. The victim was stabbed 2 times
ARSS has been matched twice. The first incident occurred in February 2023 with a stab wound to the back. At that time, the family made peace and resolved the case amicably.
Then, in the second incident, Wednesday (22/3/2023), ARSS also became a stabbing victim with more serious injuries. He had a stab wound to his wrist that almost broke off, a stab wound to his head and internal bleeding on his head. ARSS died on Thursday (23/3/2023) at 02.30 WIB.
The Slashing Happened After the Declaration of Peace
The Sukabumi City Police Chief AKBP SY Zainal Abidin regretted the action the stabbing of junior high school students in Sukabumi the. The reason is, a week ago, his party together with the West Java KCD, the Education Office and school representatives had just carried out a declaration of peace against violence in the school environment.
“We all know, last Sunday we just made a student declaration against violence, both from the Sukabumi City KCD then from the Sukabumi City Education Office and school representatives, however it turns out that the message was not conveyed properly to all,” said Zainal.
