There were offices in it, the National Assembly was in it, and later the bank moved to it. The Sugar’s Palace in the center of Prague has been around for over a hundred years and, thanks to its neo-baroque architecture, is a cultural monument. There has been no use for it in recent years, it has fallen into disrepair, and conservationists have agreed that the American company Hyatt will build a five-star hotel in it.
Opened this year on Senovážné náměstí in Prague, Hotel Andaz offers over 170 rooms, a public restaurant and a spa. During its reconstruction, the original apartment of the First Republic actress Adina Mandlová, which is now part of one of the luxury apartments, was also discovered.
