The year did not start in the best possible way for Mixwell. After the changes in players and coaching staff G2 Esports was looking to take the step they needed to reach the main European and international events. Following the two losses in the first qualifier, Mixwell was benched for kelloqz.
For the final stretch of the league, G2 changed pieces again and the Spaniard and team captain returned to the main lineup to fight for one of the three places given by the EMEA region for this event that brings together the best teams from each Valorant region.

Both Thursday and Friday, the samurai took revenge on two rivals with several pending accounts: Gambit, now (M3), which has caused so much havoc in the past and Team Liquid, which sent them to the bottom of the table days ago.
An Icebox without duelists
G2 Sports lead these playoffs playing Icebox with an ‘innovative’ composition. When changing sides, and with a defense-oriented composition, G2 Esports was unrivaled. Liquid won a force in the second round, but the samurai gave him back that round and closed the map with great slack.
What’s more, Liquid made several silly mistakes that left many favorable situations for the ocelot on a platter. One of the most notable was when Nivera misplaced on his spawn and was killed by the bomb while he was guarding an Operator.
In Split, Nukkye left us one of the clips of the year in Valorant. The G2 Esports player got a three for one in a difficult situation for them and when they squeezed on the scoreboard. After achieving the three casualties, he stuck out his finger, leaving a moment full of memes and clips that the community of shooter used in a few seconds.

With the victory, again by 13-4, G2 Esports will be in Iceland. Now it will be time to see what role they do against Fnatic and if they manage to advance to the grand final of the VCT. Two data for optimism for fans of G2 Esports. Fnatic played yesterday with a Stand-In and their level was not very good and Mixwell have never lost any series against the British club.
