From the Azores to Hamburg: The Pictures of the Week (KW 48)

There is about 3200 kilometers between the first picture of the day and the last picture of the day of this week. They could hardly be more different. Photographer muscipulaa captures a seemingly naturally overgrown jungle on the Azores archipelago. The dominant green is a treat for the eyes. The blue accents of the small flowers add tension to the picture. Due to the wide-angled focal length and the high depth of field, the various shades of green build up on an equal footing with each other and reinforce the imposing image effect.

This is also created by photographer ollerkauz in Hamburg harbor. Its crisp, rich processing emphasizes the red-blue contrast and thus the sophisticated crane technology, the veils and the central perspective bring depth to the picture.

Between the Azores and the Port of Hamburg, our pictures of the day had a lot more to offer, as our photo series shows.
