Anna Salhany (24) was the one who experienced this the other way around. She used to be a real summer hater. ‘The first signs of spring really made me feel sad,’ she says. “I was under pressure to perform. If I wasn’t doing fun things, I was wasting my time.’ She has been suffering from winter depression for a few years now. ‘I don’t know exactly what caused that shift. Now, just when summer arrives and I see the colors in the trees again, I feel like starting new things. In general I just have a lot more energy.’
