MORELIA, Mich., September 5, 2021.- In order to continue making timely breast cancer detections, the Ministry of Health of Michoacán (SSM) will deploy its 5 mobile units from September 6 to 10, in 8 municipalities.
A statement indicates that the units will be providing free care to women between 40 and 69 years of age, as part of the strategy for the early detection of breast cancer, and thus reduce mortality rates in the state.
On the 6th and 7th a unit will be installed in the town of Villa Madero, municipality of Madero; as well as in the community of Isaac Arriaga, belonging to Puruándiro. While from 6 to 8 another will be found in the municipality of Jacona.
Likewise, two units will be installed all week in Huetamo and Uruapan, later on 8, 9 and 10 the Acuitzio region and the towns of La Calera, Huipana and Chapultepec, belonging to Sixto Verduzco, will be visited; It will close in Zamora (9-10).
For this reason, Michoacan women are encouraged to take advantage of the service provided through these units.
Those interested must present themselves with their voter ID and / or CURP, shaved armpits, not use deodorant, perfume, talcum powder, or body cream, use face masks correctly and respect the sanitary measures implemented in each mobile unit.
The SSM recommends this population group to follow a balanced diet, maintain a healthy weight, not smoke, limit alcohol consumption and exercise regularly, to reduce risk factors for this disease that has claimed many lives.
