The company OMV said that it had been preparing for a period of possible interruption of supply, which came suddenly, and that it could respond to needs by importing gas through Germany, Holland and Italy.

Russian gas reached Austria mainly through pipelines passing through Ukraine, under an agreement signed in 2019, which expires at the end of the year and which is in Ukraine he said he didn’t want to update.
