The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) will increase parking fee vehicles in the capital. This is done to reduce the movement of private vehicles and traffic jams.
Currently parking rates are regulated in the Governor Regulation (Pergub) of DKI Jakarta Province No. 31 of 2017 which is still considered low. Where for on street Parking Control Areas (KPP) for cars Rp 3,000 – Rp 12,000/hour, Group A Rp 3,000 – Rp 9,000/hour and Group B Rp 2,000 – Rp. 6,000/hour.
Meanwhile, for motorbikes, the on-street parking fee for KPP is IDR 2,000 – IDR 6,000/hour, Class A IDR 2,000 – IDR 4,500 / hour, and IDR 2,000 – IDR 3,000/hour for class B.
In the future, the on-street parking fee will only be divided into two, namely KPP Group A for cars, which are charged Rp. 5,000 – Rp. 60,000/hour and motorbikes Rp. 2,000 – Rp. 18,000/hour. Meanwhile, KPP Group B for cars is Rp. 5,000 – Rp. 40,000/hour and motorbikes is Rp. 2,000 – Rp. 12,000/hour.
“High parking rates are applied to the main corridors of mass public transportation which include main road sections in the corridor and road sections around the main road with a certain radius limit,” said the Head of Administration for the Parking Management Unit (UP) of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Dhani. Grahutama in a Virtual Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Regulation of Parking Service Tariffs and Parking Fees in DKI Jakarta, quoted on Tuesday (22/6/2021).
In addition, the following are proposed changes to the increase: parking fee in Jakarta, the location of which is the main corridor for mass public transport:
1. Owned by the local government off street parking rates tarif
– Environment and parking lot
For cars, from Rp. 4,000 – Rp. 7,500/hour to Rp. 5,000 – Rp. 25,000/hour
For motorbikes, from Rp. 1,000 – Rp. 3,000/hour to Rp. 4,000 – Rp. 10,000/hour
– Parking lot
For cars from Rp. 4,000 – Rp. 10,000/hour to Rp. 5,000 – Rp. 25,000/hour
For motorbikes, from Rp. 1,000 – Rp. 4,000/hour to Rp. 4,000 – Rp. 10,000/hour
– Vehicles that have not passed the emission test for cars are charged Rp. 60,000/hour and motorbikes are charged Rp. 18,000/hour
– Vehicles that have not been re-registered (motor vehicle tax) for cars are charged Rp. 60,000/hour and motorbikes are charged Rp. 18,000/hour
2. Private parking rates
In addition to revising Pergub No. 31 of 2017, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also plans to increase private parking rates as regulated in Pergub No. 120 of 2012. Here are the contents:
– Utilization of parking facilities for shopping centers, office hotels and apartments
For cars from IDR 3,000 – IDR 5,000/hour to IDR 10,000 – IDR 25,000/hour
For motorbikes from Rp. 1,000 – Rp. 2,000/hour to Rp. 4,000 – Rp. 10,000/hour
– Utilization of public parking facilities (markets, recreation areas, hospitals, etc.)
For cars, from Rp. 2,000 – Rp. 3,000/hour to Rp. 5,000 – Rp. 10,000/hour
For motorbikes from Rp. 1,000/hour to Rp. 2,000 – Rp. 5,000/hour
– Valet parking IDR 50,000 – IDR 200,000/hour
– Vehicles that have not passed the emission test for cars are charged Rp. 25,000/hour and motorbikes are charged Rp. 10,000/hour
– Vehicles have not been re-registered (motor vehicle tax) parking fee For cars, you will be charged Rp. 25,000/hour and motorbikes will be charged Rp. 10,000/hour
