Catalina Riganti is one of the quintuplets born as a result of the first successful case of a pregnancy through assisted fertilization in Argentina in the 1990s. Time passed and Catalina formally began her political career in 2017, when she ran for councilor for the neighborhood party Con Vocation for San Isidro and was elected. She is re-elected in 2021, now she is going for more. She wants to unseat the historic Gustavo Posse from the San Isidro mayor’s office, where she claims there is a feud, similar to what happens in Formosa with the Peronist Gildo Insfrán. Catalina rose to this challenge and seeks political volume, which is why she began conversations with both sectors of Together for Change and with the libertarian Javier Milei. Posse, for his part, is up in the race for the Governorate and it is said that he could promote his daughter Macarena, a lawyer and current government official of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, as a candidate for mayor.
