The Julio Bocca Foundation is pleased to announce the inauguration of “From Punta to Art 2024”a unique exhibition of ballet slippers designed by prominent figures in the world of art, sport and business. The event will take place on Friday, August 30 at 6:00 p.m. in the Grand Foyer of the Teatro Colón and has been declared of Cultural Interest by the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
Celebration and Solidarity:
As part of its 26th anniversary, the Julio Bocca Foundation continues its uninterrupted work of providing excellent artistic training for children and young people. This exhibition, conceived as a solidarity project, seeks to raise funds for the Foundation’s Academic Scholarship Program, which since its creation has awarded more than 3,000 scholarships to emerging talents.

Exhibition and Auction:
Renowned cultural figures such as Ernesto Pesce, Ariel Mlynarzewicz, Liliana Golubinsky, Olga Autunno, Gerardo Feldstein, Yari Casanova and Daniel Tangona have been invited to make artistic interventions on ballet slippers, which will be exhibited in the Grand Foyer of the Teatro Colón from August 30 to September 28. The exhibition is curated by Cristina Santa Cruz.
The seized sneakers will be auctioned off through an online platform, allowing interested parties from all over the world to participate. The results of the auction, which will be open from the opening day, will be revealed before a notary public before the end of the year. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Foundation’s Academic Scholarship Program. The event is sponsored by COMAFI Bankthe institutional sponsorship of the Embassy of Uruguay in Argentinaand the accompaniment of the Colon Theatre. In addition, it will feature the presence of special guests such as the designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. The idea and production of the event are in charge of Grace Grisolia.
