Hundreds of works are on loan from the Vesuvian sites and other museums throughout Italy: precious finds for the first time in a single exhibition that brings Italian national museums online, as part of the national museum system.

The exhibition “The shape of gold. The inauguration is scheduled for Friday 8 March at 4.30 pm. The exhibition, which can be visited during the museum’s opening hours, will remain on display until 8 September 2024, hosted at the Archaeological Museum of Isernia, curated by the Sepino Archaeological Park and the Molise Regional Museums Directorate, led by the archaeologist Enrico Rinaldi.

“An exhibition that allows us to investigate the importance and role of jewels in ancient Italy – explains Rinaldi – and which, due to the high scientific value and the interest aroused, has allowed us to initiate contacts with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and of international cooperation to subsequently host it at Italian cultural institutes abroad”.
