From Police Officer to Dog Trainer: A Journey of Transformation and Fulfillment

I was born in Duisburg in 1975 and after graduating from high school I was looking for a professional challenge that seemed meaningful and fulfilling to me, a job where I could work with people and do good, and as then I joined the state police service. of North Rhine-Westphalia.

After more than 20 years of service, I left the service due to illness and had to completely rearrange my life:

Desmond, a 15 week old male whippet, came into my life and so the first step on a new journey in my life was taken:

To give him a happy life with as much freedom as possible and raise him to be a confident and cooperative dog, I looked for a dog school – and with the first click I landed at the Martin Rütter dog school in Dusseldorf.

Fascinated by the training philosophy and at the same time looking for a new activity, two things quickly came together:

In 2015 I completed my studies to become a Martin Rütter dog trainer in Bonn and became a partner for the Meerbusch/Viersen area.

The whippet dog Smilla has been strengthening our pack since 2018 and I am very happy to be part of the team at the Martin Rütter dog school in Düsseldorf from autumn 2021 and to be able to support people and the dogs alone and join them alone and competently. their journey.
