From Plane to Goat, AirAsia Opens Akikah Business

Then Akikah Makkah where the slaughter will be done in the Holy City of Mecca for as low as RM499 or IDR 1.7 million for a goat.

“The slaughtered meat will be distributed to communities in need in these countries,” he said.

Ikhlas Kamarudin said AirAsia is proud to introduce akikah service as another easy product at a reasonable price on enterprise platform starting with overseas akikah package and will be followed by domestic package soon.

“Performing akikah is encouraged for Muslims as a sign of gratitude for newborns, and among other benefits include announcing the birth of a baby, celebrating with family and friends, as well as helping the poor,” he said.
