At 14 on Thursday, team Edin hits the first stone during the Swedish Championships.
The team, with Christoffer Sundgren, Rasmus Wranå, Oskar Eriksson, Niklas Edin, the skipper and the reserve Daniel Magnusson and coach Fredrik Lindberg became historic when they recently took Sweden’s first Olympic gold on the men’s side in curling during the Olympics in Beijing.
Now there is another challenge that applies, the Swedish Championships in Härnösand.
Today, coach Lindberg also had to step down on the court to play himself.
So today … does it depend on you?
– Yes, maybe it does, says Fredrik Lindberg.
Preparing for the World Cup
Härnösand will be a bit of a stopover between Beijing and Las Vegas – where the World Cup in curling will be played in a couple of weeks.
But only a few days in the curling hall on Högslätten in Härnösand, to try to become Swedish champions as well.
You SHOULD win this, right?
– Yes, reasonably, if we play as we did during the Olympics, says skipper Niklas Edin.
The Curling-SM starts today, Thursday the 17th of March, and is played on Sunday the 20th.
