From next week there will be only one press conference per week about the evolution of the corona virus in our country. The figures are still communicated daily in a report by Sciensano.

“We will continue to communicate about the figures on a daily basis, but the interpretation that is currently given three times a week at a press conference will from now on only take place once a week – on Wednesdays,” said spokesman Yves Stevens.
That is because there is currently simply less information to interpret, he says. “The figures are stable and then you cannot continue to provide explanations. But we are keeping a finger on the pulse and if necessary the frequency will be adjusted again ”, he concludes.
