from Nevers, the “Twins” play the first one woman show… as a duo!

The Twins are back on their Burgundian lands, for better and for fun. Anne and Sophie Cordin present their duo show in Dijon, Saturday April 2 and Sunday April 3, 2022, before performing at the Nevers theater on Sunday June 5.

They play on their resemblance to offer a singular spectacle. Anne and Sophie Cordin made a childhood dream come true by going on stage both in “the first solo played as a duo… or vice versa”. After occupying the humorous ground on social networks during the Covid-19 pandemic, they are back on the road. Their tour goes of course through their region of origin, Burgundy, in particular in Dijon, where they had played their last performance before the first confinement.

In their show, the Twins recount the adventures of Mademoiselle Cordin, Miss Marzy 1999, a village in Nièvre where there were only three candidates. It’s not fiction. “We really participated in this election” Anne and Sophie entrust us. “We have also kept our scarves from the time”.

Their youth is marked by the love of the spectaclethey write down ideas in notebooks that make them laugh and learn sketches by Elie Kakou or the Vamps by heart.

Later, after their studies in Yonne, in Auxerre, a stay in prison for one (you have to see the show to have the explanation) and a job interview that was a little too offbeat for the other, their give ideas for sketches. This path of life punctuated with clues then leads them on stage.

During the two years of health crisis and disrupted artistic life, the Twins take over social networks. They offer politically incorrect videos, in which they explain how to make masks with hygienic protection, or how to get around wearing a mask by eating strawberries in the street…

The news also inspires them, as when they broadcast the exclusive interview of a certain Pénélope, actress, known for her role in “I’m fine, I’m not working” and who took eight years to write the two lines of her new film, in which she plays a role of composition, that of parliamentary attaché.

In their show, Anne and Sophie also have a great time parodying the duplexes of continuous news channels, but limit allusions to the health crisis to the strict minimum. “We talk lightly about the news, but we have all been drunk by these Covid stories, including in the shows, in our opinion“.

The Twins go on tour. They return to their land this weekend. Members of their family, who live in Côte-d’Or in Montmoyen, will be in the audience at the Darcy Comédie café-théâtre, Saturday April 2 at 8 p.m. and Sunday April 3 at 5 p.m..

Anne and Sophie will play Municipal Theater of Nevers Sunday June 5 17 hours. “There will be everyone, even our classmates from primary school“. Their summer will be studious, at the Avignon festival.

Note that France 3 will devote a series of reports to comedians in the region the first week of the April holidays.
