Now it’s official: Minister Speranza has signed the order: from Monday 10, Tuscany will be in the yellow zone. Along with our region, Abruzzo, Emilia Romagna and Valle d’Aosta also end up in yellow.
“In order to combat and contain the spread of the Sars-COV-2 virus in the regions of Abruzzo, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany and Valle d’Aosta, the measures referred to in the so-called yellow zone are applied for a period of fifteen days, subject to new classification”, reads the ordinance signed by the Minister of Health.
The provision also renews the status of the yellow zone “without prejudice to the possibility of a new classification” for the Friuli Venezia Giulia region and the Calabria region.
“The occupancy rates of hospitalizations in the medical area and intensive care have exceeded the thresholds of 15% and 10%, today we are at 19% and 18.9%, mainly due to the high incidence of unvaccinated hospitalized “, underlined the President of the Tuscan Regional Council, Antonio Mazzeo (Pd).
The main difference between the white zone and the yellow zone “lies in the fact that the reinforced green pass will be needed to consume even at the counter or outdoors, but it is a signal that tells us that we must respect the rules and be cautious. never repeat it: vaccination is the most effective weapon to beat the virus and make it less dangerous in case of contagion “, he added.
“And to those who are still skeptical or reject the idea of the vaccine, – he concluded – I ask to read one of the many appeals of no vax repentant after ending up in intensive care. The vaccine protects and saves the lives of ourselves and people. we love “.
