From Monday, the police will check the use of passive safety devices on public roads as part of a European-level action, the National Police Headquarters (ORFK) announced on Friday on the police.hu website.
According to the announcement, during the one-week action covering the entire territory of Hungary, the police are primarily investigating the use of seat belts, child restraint systems, and crash helmets for co-drivers and motorcyclists.
The Network of European Traffic Law Enforcement Agencies (Roadpol) has announced increased checks for next week under the name “Seatbelt”, to which the Hungarian police will also join – it can be read on police.hu.
