After the influenza vaccination campaign began with doses destined for children from 6 months to 3 years, and adults from 59 years onwards, finally the Expanded Program of Immunizations (EPI) of the Ministry of Health opens the possibility to get the whole family vaccinated.
Fathers, mothers and children can go to the vaccination center closest to their home from Monday, May 31, and request that the dose against influenza be applied.

That the flu is not a problem
As detailed by Héctor Castro, director of Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) the objective of this opening is to continue advancing with the immunization campaign against influenza, so that this virus does not represent another problem for the public health system and for the population, in the midst of the health collapse that we are experiencing due to to COVID.
With anti-influenza vaccination the probability of generating serious forms of the disease is reduced, in addition, the risk of hospitalization is reduced and lives are saved. LThe vaccine has no cost.
Vaccination for the target population will continue for children 6 to 36 months of age, adults 60 years and older, pregnant women and women who can already be vaccinated after childbirth, people between 4 and 59 years of age with comorbidities, white personnel and people with essential activities.
