From Monday, pediatric vaccination against the coronavirus will be carried out without an agenda

The Ministry of Public Health (MSP) reported that as of Monday, June 20, pediatric vaccination against covid-19 (from 5 to 11 years old) will be carried out without an agenda.

After the aforementioned date, the list of vaccination centers that will be providing pediatric vaccines against covid-19 should be consulted to identify the date and time to attend to vaccinate children.

The list is available on the MSP website at the following link: https://www.gub.uy/ministerio-salud-publica/comunicacion/publicaciones/listado-vacunatorios-pediatricos-para-covid-19-partir-del-2062022

“The available vaccinations will also be informed by the MSP through an SMS that will reach children who have a pending vaccination date,” the ministry said in a statement.

The waiting time between the first and second pediatric dose against covid-19 is six weeks; while children between 5 and 11 years old who have had the disease must wait at least three months (90 days) from the positive diagnosis or to receive the second dose.

In the case of children who have had respiratory infections with suspected covid-19 without confirmation, the treating physician should be consulted about the appropriateness of administering the second dose.
