From Monday, Croatia and Madeira will be among the most risky travel destinations

From Monday, Croatia and Portuguese Madeira will be among the most risky areas, which will tighten travel conditions. Among the high-risk countries will be Ireland and Lithuania, which have so far been in the most risky category. The regime will also ease when traveling from Denmark, which will be orange on the so-called traveler’s map, and Iceland.

When returning from countries with a very high risk, marked in dark red, a test is mandatory before traveling to the Czech Republic, upon arrival, passengers must undergo quarantine. After five days, they can do a second PCR test, which in case of a negative result will allow the quarantine to be terminated. Most Member States of the European Union and third countries fall into this category.

In the case of red countries with a high level of risk, in addition to the pre-trip test, another PCR test is required within five days of arrival. Until then, the person must be self-insulating. From Monday, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Ireland, Italy, Cyprus, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Austria, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland and the Azores and Canary Islands will join them.

To return from orange, medium-risk countries according to the travel traffic light, it is mandatory to pass an antigen or PCR test before traveling to the Czech Republic. These will include Denmark, Finland, Norway and Greece.

For all three categories, a medical mask or respirator must be worn everywhere outside the home for ten days from arrival. Employees and students are also required to submit the test result to the employer or school where they study.

None of the obligations apply to green countries with a low risk of infection. Until now, only the Vatican belonged to them from European states, Iceland will be added from Monday. Other countries include Australia, South Korea, New Zealand, Singapore and Thailand.

Foreigners are not allowed to come to the Czech Republic for reasons other than necessary. The Cabinet recently banned the stay of foreigners in the Czech Republic, with the exception of trips to work and schools, necessary trips to family or loved ones, trips to medical and social services facilities or, for example, to a wedding or funeral.
