This year in March the average monthly temperature is expected to be around the norm, which in Northern Bulgaria and high fields is between 5 ° and 7 °, on the Black Sea coast and in Southern Bulgaria – between 6 ° and 9 °, and in the mountains – between minus 8 ° and minus 2 °.
The lowest temperatures in March will be between minus 10 ° and minus 5 °, and the highest – between 20 ° and 25 °, according to the monthly forecast prepared by Assistant Professor Dr. Krassimir Stoev, weather forecaster at NIMH.
The monthly amount of precipitation will be around the norm, which in the plains is between 40 and 60 l / sq.m, in the mountains – between 50 and 90 l / sq.m.
During the first ten days the temperatures will be lower than usual. The month will start with cold and mostly cloudy weather. In some places – mainly in Northern and Eastern Bulgaria, light snow will fall. Over the next two or three days, the clouds will be variable and light snow will fall in some places in the mountainous areas. From the 7th to the end of the period there will be precipitation again in more places in the country, mainly from snow, along the Black Sea coast and in the southern regions – from rain.
During the second decade, temperatures will rise relatively, but will remain lower than usual. The dynamics of atmospheric processes will remain increased. Probability of precipitation in the plains of rain, in mountainous areas of snow there are about 11th, 16th and at the end of the period.
During the third decade, temperatures will continue to rise and will now be close to normal. The probability of passing atmospheric disturbances is around the 22nd, in the middle and end of the period.
