In 2022, retirement benefits will be twice as high. Traditionally, there will be an indexation in March, and already in January, due to the tax reform of the Polish Order, no income tax will be deducted from pensions, but only the health insurance contribution. This means that the net amounts of current pensions will increase. The exact calculations are presented in the article below.

Changes in pensions in recent months – statements of politicians

The indexation of disability and old-age pensions, which will be much higher than expected. In line with the government’s September assumptions, this indicator was to be at 4.89%. Inflation, however, is at the level of nearly 8%. and this means that it will also affect the value of the indexation of old-age and disability pensions. If in December this year inflation hits 8 percent. in the whole of 2021 it will reach an average value of 5%. and that means that valorization of pensions it can be even over 6 percent.

Today, it is not yet known what exactly will be the indexation index in 2022. You have to wait for the data for the whole year, but certainly due to inflation it will be higher than the government assumed. Let us remind you that valorization is not the only benefit that seniors will feel in 2022. In the so-called The Polish Lada was also envisaged to introduce tax-free pensions. Thanks to this, the benefit is expected to increase from January 2022.
