This was decided today by the Management Board of the State Fund “Agriculture” (the Board of the State Fund for Agriculture) in fulfillment of the commitments made by the Government in the signed agreement with the farmers.

The applications for assistance according to the so-called Ukrainian aid are submitted to Municipal Agriculture Offices (OMA) to the Regional Directorate “Agriculture” of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (MAZH) at the permanent address of the natural person (in the case of a FL application) and at the registered office of the sole trader or legal entity (in the case of an ET application and JUL).

The aid is provided in the form of direct grants to farmers from primary agricultural production to offset part of the increased production costs.

Livestock breeders raising large and small ruminants, bee families, producers of fruit and vegetables, wine vineyards, rose oil, tobacco, wheat, corn, barley, sunflower and rapeseed are eligible for support.

The maximum amount of support for one applicant in the “Grain production” sector is up to BGN 55,000.

The maximum aid intensity is up to EUR 280,000 (BGN 547,632) per enterprise active in the primary production of agricultural products. It applies for the entire period of validity of the Temporary Framework (March 2022 – June 2024) and takes into account the amount of any aid received by the farmer under it.

The deadline for the payment of the aid is until April 22, 2024, after a positive decision of the European Commission on compatibility with the rules in the field of state aid according to the two notifications and after approval of a budget according to the schemes of the Board of Directors of the DFZ.
