From March 1, you can choose prize races – or the new prize chance!

From March 1, the two-year-olds can enter premium races and first up is the cold-blooded Bjarte Kiro, who is registered for Skellefteå already today, Friday. Both cold and warmbloods have until October 31 to enter premium races. For the cold blood, it is the same time limit as in recent years (2.10 – 1.55), while the warm blood from this year has had a reduced time limit to 1.32 – 1.24.

The new prize chance – more races, 50 percent extra prize

For the warmbloods, there is the prize chance as an alternative to the prize race. You can say that the horse owner then chooses to give up the 20,000 kroner in order to instead take a chance on the horse being so good that it can start in the major vintage races as a two-, three- and four-year-old. In that case, the horse owner receives 50 percent more prize money than the regular prize money in these young horse races.

The premium chance has changed slightly for this year’s two-year-old litter (born in 2022). The premium is now 50 percent extra on the regular price sum, compared to the 100 percent extra that applied to previous litters. But in return, there are significantly more races included in the premium chance for the 2022 litter. Among other things, the entire Breeders’Crown package with all selection races, semi-finals, finals and two-year-old races is now included.

Exactly which races are included in the premium chance for the 2022 litter is determined by how many horses enter premium races. The fewer horses that run premium races, the more races are included in the premium chance for that litter.

The following races are included in the prize chance for the litter born in 2022
