Nikeata Thompson was born on August 14, 1980 in the British city of Birmingham. The British woman has Jamaican ancestors and moved to Germany with her family at the age of six. Nikeata has been an absolute sports enthusiast since she was ten years old!

She was an athlete until she was 19, but discovered dancing at the age of 16. With her sense of rhythm, Nikeata wowed an American rapper in 2001 and was booked as a background dancer, although she had never attended dance school. Further successes were not long in coming: just two years later, the young dancer was discovered by the Berlin group Seeed.

Today, Nikeata Thompson works as a choreographer and advocates for a more just society. The promotion of diversity is particularly important to her. In her autobiography, which was published in 2021, the 42-year-old addresses topics such as self-love, body positivity and the visibility of people of colour.
