From June 7, Spain will allow all vaccinated people to visit the country – in the world

Spain will allow all travelers vaccinated against Covid-19 to visit the country from June 7, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said on Friday.

“From June 7, all vaccinated people and their families will be welcome in our country, Spain, regardless of their country of origin,” Sanchez said at the International Tourism Fair in Madrid.

He also announced that British travelers will be allowed to visit Spain on holidays from next week.

“From next Monday, May 24, Spain will be happy to welcome British tourists again,” allowing them to come “without restrictions,” Sanchez said.

An official website to promote tourism has confirmed that British citizens will not even have to pass a negative Covid-19 test.

Britain has long been the largest source of tourists for Spain, but during the pandemic, British travelers were only allowed into Spain for essential visits.

Britain has maintained restrictions on Spanish travelers who are required to pass a negative Covid-19 test and go to quarantine.

From Monday, Japanese travelers will be able to come to Spain without good reasons, the Spanish Ministry of the Interior announced.

The Spanish statement came a day after the European Parliament (EP) and European Union (EU) member states agreed on the issue of an EU Covid-19 certificate. The agreement will allow all people living in EU countries to receive a digital health passport showing the person’s vaccination status, the results of Covid-19 tests or evidence that they have been infected with Covid-19.

Spain, the second most popular tourist destination after France, had 83.5 million foreign visitors registered in 2019. In 2020, their number decreased by 77% compared to the previous year.

Spain plans to receive about 45 million foreign tourists in 2021.
