Anyone who wants to build or renovate in an energy-efficient manner has access to a veritable flood of grants and cheap loans.
On July 1, the subsidy for residential buildings was increased again – for new buildings or for the renovation of the efficiency house.
Federal funding for efficient buildings: This bulky term conceals attractive funding measures for homeowners and builders. Since the beginning of the year, the federal offer, abbreviated as BEG, has brought together several programs from the previously responsible KfW and BAFA. The second stage of the BEG will start on July 1st. It concerns the construction of new residential buildings and the renovation of the efficiency house. Among other things, up to 150,000 euros can now be recognized as eligible costs instead of the previous 120,000 euros per residential unit.
“The BEG will make the funding landscape clearer. Nonetheless, the layman is faced with a jungle of funding programs, ”says Ramona Ballod, energy advisor at the Thuringia consumer center. The expert points out that funding must be applied for before the construction or renovation work can begin. In addition, all programs are tied to certain conditions. “Our energy consultants can explain to you which grants or loans are suitable for your project. And they also tell you which details need to be taken into account, ”says Ballod.
An appointment for personal energy advice from the consumer advice center in Thuringia can be made on 0800 809 802 400 or 0361 555140 (both free of charge).
The federal funding for energy advice from the consumer center is a project of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. Thanks to a cooperation with the Thuringian Ministry of the Environment and the state energy agency ThEGA, consultations in Thuringia are free of charge.
