From January 1, Polish drivers can use the new fuel billing system. Thanks to it, we will get a refund for a full tank of up to PLN 80 much faster than in the previous year. e-Invoice is already one of the acceptable forms of documenting sales, in addition to paper invoices and electronic invoices already operating in the course of trade.
A new way to get your fuel money back
If you refuel with fuel, are an entrepreneur and receive a VAT refund, now you can get it much faster. Poland was the fourth country in the European Union to introduce e-Invoice, and with it a number of benefits for entrepreneurs.
In January 2022, the National System of e-Invoices was launched. They are changing, among others. The process of issuing and receiving invoices, as well as simplified and improved rules for invoicing. One of the biggest advantages, however, will be the acceleration of the VAT refund period (including for fuel) from 60 to 40 days. If you own a company or operate a large fleet of cars, this can be a really big profit.
In addition, entrepreneurs will be able to use invoice storage and archiving services, thanks to which no important document will ever be lost again. The National System of e-Invoices will also help prevent irregularities in the area of taxes – VAT, excise duty and income taxes.
In 2022, still voluntary
In 2022, the use of e-Invoices will be voluntary, while in 2023 it is planned to introduce general electronic invoicing in Poland.
Deputy Minister of Finance, Jan Sarnowski: – By providing entrepreneurs with an e-invoice, we join the group of European leaders of modern e-administration services. Poland will be the fourth EU country to implement it. Italy did it in 2017, Spain a year later, and Portugal in 2019. The year 2022 will be the time of voluntary e-invoicing, a pilot project carried out in cooperation with business. The interest in this solution will be great, because it is a significant facilitation for business. E-invoice is convenient and has a structured character. You do not have to search for important data, such as the price of goods or VAT rates, because they are always in the same place. In addition, using it entitles you to obtain a faster VAT refund.
E-Invoice is a modern tool and the next stage of digitization of tax services. The service will significantly facilitate the settlement of trade between entrepreneurs and ensure the security of their mutual settlements.
