From January 25, 2021, increased Covid-19 protective measures with an FFP2 mask requirement will apply in public transport – current timetable information


LINZ AG LINIEN inform their passengers

The federal government recently extended the third lockdown caused by corona and also prescribed increased protective measures for public transport across Austria.

From Monday, January 25th, 2021: FFP2 masks are mandatory in all vehicles and bus stops of LINZ AG LINIEN

As before, LINZ AG LINIEN will inform passengers about the new features via all existing channels. From Monday there will be updated announcements in the vehicles and info screen displays. Information is also provided via notices and stickers, on the website and via social media. As part of the controls, the control service staff will inform the passengers of the new obligation to carry them from Monday and will also check them. The stewardship of the city of Linz is also on hand to provide support.

The inspection service staff of LINZ AG LINIEN will also be using FFP2 masks. This also applies to the drivers as soon as they enter the passenger compartment and when getting on and off.

The FFP2 mask requirement applies from 14 years of age. Children and adolescents between 6 and 14 years of age as well as pregnant women can use mouth and nose protection (MNS) instead of the FFP2 mask and as before. Only children under 6 years of age and people who can prove that they cannot wear a mask or face mask for health reasons are exempt from the mask requirement (FFP2 mask and MNS).

Current timetable information

Up to and including February 7, 2021: LINZ AG LINIEN continues to ensure mobility in Linz. Due to the extended lockdown, the current timetable, which has been adapted to the corona situation, applies until 02/07/2021, with occasional reinforcements as required.

Semester break: During the semester break, which has been brought forward to the week of February 8th to February 14th, 2021 throughout Upper Austria, the vacation schedule applies on all lines.

The LINZ LINIEN Infocenter, Hauptplatz 34, and the ticket inspection service, Landstraße 119, will only remain open for very urgent matters during the third lockdown.
