The Gucci murder
It was the March 27, 1995 When Maurizio Gucci, president of the Gucci fashion house from 1983 to 1993, comes killed with three gunshots in Milan, in the entrance of a building in via Palestro. The news has an incredible echo, and all the newspapers and television stations talk about nothing else.
Who killed the Gucci owner in the heart of Milan?
To find an answer to this question, it was necessary to wait for the first results of the investigations which arrived two years later and which exploded like a real bomb. To want the death of the entrepreneur not a rival, not a stranger, none of this: it was the now former lady Gucci, Patrizia Reggiani, at the time the victim’s wife. Obviously she was not the material perpetrator of the murder, of which she was “only” the mind, but the “Beagle Boys”, as she herself called it, that she would be recruited by Pina Auriemma this added “stomach”.
The motive begins to appear clear to everyone, to friends and investigators, but not to the daughters who, for months, continued to defend their mother. In that moment the divorce between the two was imminent: it happened in 1995, the year of his death; Maurizio Gucci had decided to get married with the new partner, Paola Franchi, which she had fallen in love with when she decided to sell the House to an Arab fund. A decision that Reggiani could not bear: it was not only his heritage that was in danger, but also his honor. The desire for revenge, revenge and money, therefore, turned into a bloodbath.
The assassination of Gianni Versace
The well-known designer lost his life in 1997 in Miami Beach, in front of his villa, by the hand of a fanatic serial killer, Andrew Cunanan, at the time 23 years old.
Cunan, in addition to being a serial killer, was known for being a eccentric gigolo from the gay community of the upper town.
The 23-year-old histrionic took Versace’s life at the height of a violent murderous delusion that lasted roughly 90 days before committing suicide. It was in fact found by the police without life in a sort of houseboat. On the tragedy Netflix created the TV series ‘Versace’.
The suicide of Alexander McQueen
At the height of success, at only 40 years old, the iconic designer Alexander McQueen took his own life in his home in London on 11 February 2010. The hooligan of fashion, this is the epithet with which he was called, was crossed by a series of strong psychological tensions, which peaked after the suicide of best friend Isabella Blow and the death of the mother, Joyce (which took place on February 2, 2010). McQueen most likely didn’t make it through two such huge obstacles.
The disappearance of Missoni
On January 4, 2013 Vittorio Missoni’s plane crashes into the Caribbean Sea. They were on board Vittorio Missoni, son of Ottavio and Rosita Missoni, his partner Maurizia Castiglioni, and a couple of friends, Guido Foresti and Elda Scalvenzi as well as the two pilots of the aircraft. Missoni junior had decided, together with his wife, to spend the New Year’s holidays in Los Roques. It will be the last trip of the couple, who was just about to return to Italy. After at least six months of researchand the plane is found by the Venezuelan authorities fragmented into various parts at a depth of about 70 meters. If the body of his wife Maurizia was immediately recognized, different was for that of Missoni, which never received official recognition. It is still a mystery.
