Warren Buffett and Bill Gates launched The Giving Pledge in June 2010, an initiative with which they wanted to “invite the wealthiest individuals and families in America” to donate most of their fortune. Since then, 237 great fortunes have supported the cause and have pledged to allocate their wealth to philanthropic purposes. Jeff Bezos is not one of the magnates who has supported this project, although in November of last year he assured that he would allocate “most” of his wealth to non-profit purposes.
