“The treatment of oncological pathology of the nervous system requires answers that come from a more collegial and multidisciplinary approach than ever before, therefore there is a network approach, of functional links between operating units, lack of cooperation between professionalism – says Dr. Massimo Ianilli, director of the extensive intensive rehabilitation area of the City of Rovigo Nursing Home and scientific director of the joint talk – Neurological patients – oncological treatments are often recommended to physicians to start rehabilitation after a surgical program and, almost always, while waiting for radio-oncological findings are stopped by the result of histological typing of the lesion. The timing of the intervention is particularly difficult in these cases without specific pathways, coordinated intervention chains, and shared care activities. This context also includes the need for appropriate communication with the patient and family members, along with informational education that allows effective treatment of the consequences of disability”.
“For this reason – he concludes – we have decided to promote an initiative that aims to bring together skills and experiences pto bring them together for the good of the patient and his family.”
