Blandine Lepetit recently came to Barneville-beach (Some) with boxes filled with painted pebbles. But what does she want to do with these pebbles? Passionate, radiant, Blandine tells us the story of the painted pebble. A beautiful story not about to end, thanks to its enthusiasm and especially the participation of each of us.
A travel in the USA : this is the beginning of the story. Blandine, in Florida, sees a “smile” on the ground. What is this pebble that shines and begs to be picked up? O, surprise, behind this “smile” an inscription in English asks that the latter continue his journey after having been photographed and sent to a group on Facebook ” Naples Painted Rocks ».
Blandine brings back the stone in the Cotentin and there, the idea comes to him to launch this concept. Just an exchange between people, no money, just self-time. Everything that Blandine appreciates. She picks up pebbles, starts painting them and inscribes behind “Take a picture, join our group, take the stone on a journey”.
Normandy painted pebbles
It was gone: the group ” Normandy painted pebbles Is launched.
Her first pebble, she remembers, she dropped it off at Saint-Marcouf-de-l’Ile, on the beach of Goujins in 2018. The adventure was launched and she was far from imagining the follow-up given to this story.
Those are more than 2,000 members who join his group. Pebbles have left in Thailand, in the United States, in Corsica, in the south of France. Blandine answers each member.
Blandine is also helped by Marie-Charlotte, her daughter, and especially by the children with whom she works every day. These children paint the pebbles with passion and love and eagerly wait to see if they have been found and how far they will travel.
