You have a degree in business administration, why are you in IT now?
Because I like change. And it’s not like I sit in front of the PC all day and write codes. The computer science field has so much more to offer. So I deal with the interface between business and IT. Because the world is becoming more and more networked. This also challenges companies. It needs new ideas and innovations that are geared towards the wishes of the customers.
What is the biggest challenge?
Whenever it gets technical. I need a certain amount of time before I have read up on the problem and understand what the problem is. But that doesn’t put me off: I enjoy learning new things all the time.
And what is your personal success?
That I learned how to work properly with so many different people and teams. At first I wanted to do too much on my own. In the meantime, I have learned how to reach my goal efficiently and effectively, and how to perceive the needs of everyone.
Why are you completing the trainee program at Migros of all places?
Migros covers my personal needs. For example, progressive thinking is capitalized here. There are flexible working hours and home office options. In addition, there are clear values and everyone is pulling in the same direction. I’m also not just a number here, I’m seen as a person and can develop further. I also like that I can get to know a new area every six months during the two years of training.
Are you considering starting at the Migros Group?
These benefits await you.
IT trainee program at Migros
